Hush
Listen to the wind;
It’ll tell you a secret,
Would you be willing to hear.
Hush
And close your eyes;
Time has come to find you,
Let it pass you by.
Hush
And slow down your heartbeat;
Lend your heart to the mountains
Breathe in their scenery.
Hush
Don’t awaken just yet;
There’s a life to be had,
In the flurry of sleep.
Hush
And remember yesterday;
It had gone before it was,
What color were its wishes?
Hush
Try to whisper your name;
It sounds familiar to you,
Like sugar on the air.
Hush
And think of the water;
The tap and the lake,
You could watch them shatter.
Hush
And imagine tomorrow;
If you wished it be,
What color are its teeth?
Hush
The leaves outside are falling;
Slow and deliberate,
They’d be gone come morning.
Hush
Could you wait for me?
Slow down your pace,
Let me follow your lead.
Hush
There is wear in your eyes;
The rain wasn’t kind,
To the salt that they held.
Hush
And go back to sleep;
The storm is upon us,
You should be counting sheep.
Hush
You can see the flowers blooming;
The night is warm now,
You can shed your coating.
Hush
And await the set of sun;
It reflects your secrets,
It won’t let them come to harm.
Hush
Fall to the rhythm of the night;
Watch out for those sights
That may hide under your bed.
Hush
You don’t have to be afraid;
There is kindness in the dark,
Were you to believe it is there.
Hush
And fall asleep;
Let morning wash by,
Let it wash your intricacies.
Hush
The seasons come again;
Do you recognize their vision,
Or have they become too different?
Hush
There is sense in the days;
But they don’t linger
To tell us their ways.
Hush
And put a pause on the silence;
Do you hear the seconds,
Do you hear your heartbeat?
Hush
And you could let it go
Let it go as a river that flows
Let it go like the weather.
Hush
Did you listen to the wind?
All its secrets are disclosed;
It is, it is free.
Hush
And fall asleep
Let tomorrow step on in;
For now, let yourself dream.
